ThermoSpas Inc. is a company we knew little about when we viewed an infomercial on the television one Saturday morning. We were very interested in what the infomercial was about, and gave us a good perspective on the way the company operates. My wife and I are in our late thirtys and keep very active with our full time jobs, numerous hobbies, and two sons. There have been many times when we have pulled a muscle, sprained an ankle, or just plain had tension headaches from a stressful day. We decided not long after the infomercial aired to order the video tape and associated sales catalogs. The video tape arrived in about 10 days and we immediately sat down to watch it when we came home from work. Our first impressions were reinforced very well through the video tape and we immediately start wondering if it would really be possible for a regular middle income family to have such an item. We called ThermoSpas and set up an appointment for one of their sales staff to visit us in our home. Mr. Naylor arrived a few days later and once again reinforced the product that we already researched thoroughly through their brochures. There were not many questions in our minds that had not been answered by Mr. Naylor, however some skepticism still remained in my mind because I was a previous swimming pool owner, and Lord knows I was not content with that pool from the day we first opened it for use. It was far more work and expense than I needed in my life, and by the time the water was balanced, the pool bottom was vacuumed, and the pump was flushed and operational, it seemed like the weekend was just about over. Mr. Naylor stated that due to the much smaller scale and the location where we planned on putting it, the hot tub would be extremely easy to manage and the amount of chemicals used would be no where near the equivalent of an 18′ diameter pool.
After awhile of deliberating with my wife we told Mr. Naylor that we would infact be interested. We gave some minor information regarding our finances, which he called in for credit approval over the phone. Within minutes we were approved for a ThermoSpa hot tub, and the order was made. It took about 7 weeks for our hot tub to be delivered to our door. Even the men that delivered the unit were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about ThermoSpas. They showed us the different features, allowed us to inspect the unit, and then set it into place right were we had planned. My youngest son, all of 8 years, wanted us to fill it and jump in right then and there, but it was the electrician’s turn next. After the electrician hooked up the hot tub and installed a ground fault interrupter switch into our electrical box we began to fill the tub. The step by step instructions on adding chemicals and verifying the waters alkalinity and Ph levels was easy to understand and also insightful. Within 6 hours my entire family had used the hot tub for the very first time.
Needless to say we were all impressed. Within the week we called ThermoSpas to order the chemicals and associated equipment we felt we needed over the long haul. I had the opportunity to speak with Tiffany, sorry I didn’t catch her last name. She was a very pleasant lady, extremely helpful with some of the decisions we made, and very knowledgeable with some of the questions I had that were a little ambiguous in the operating manual. Her assurance gave us all the more confidence in feeling we ordered our spa from the right company. When we received the spa, there was a small notch in the wooden top plate of the spa. The delivery men wrote it up on the receipt as a problem, and about 5 days later a repair man came in from the Philadelphia area, Bob was his name, and he patched the wood up with puddy matching the color as close as possible. Once again, Bob asked if we had any questions, he verified that all the jets and the pump were working well, he even told us that jets were interchangeable and that other jets could be ordered at a later date. After a while Bob left and the UPS man arrived with our chemicals. We were set, and looked forward to enjoying our hot tub from ThermoSpas, Inc. It has been a month since we first used our spa, one question remained in my mind. How high will my electric bill go? Well let me tell you, after using it almost daily for one month my bill only increased by $8.00. I was amazed. Somewhere there is a lesson in all of this for me. Maybe I was too cynical in life to believe anything that came out of a salesman’s mouth, off an infomercial, or from sales brochures. I do know however, ThermoSpas, Inc. delivers everything they claim. They are knowledgeable, affordable, energy efficient, and friendly to deal with.
